Ford was also not left behind as it announced plans to launch three new electric vehicles and employ 7000 US workers in the next two years. Electric vehicles are expected to make up to 10% of the total sales by 2020.
In total, car sales seem to be going strong with sales increasing to up to 11% in the US in the year 2010. By 2014, the sales are expected to reach a little above 90 million as compared to the figure of 60 million back in 2003.
